The subject matter of this work has preoccupied and continues to preoccupy the minds of our Nation?s members; yet in spite of this preoccupation, many people lack a correct understanding regarding it. Because the issues that fall under the subject matter of this work are so important, I decided to write this work, through which I hope to make plain the way to live and act according to what Allah has revealed.

Contrary to what some may think, this work is relevant not just to leaders, but to every individual as well. Each and every human being is a leader and chief of sorts, for just as a ruler is responsible for the welfare of his state and citizens, each one of us is responsible for his flock ? the members of his family and, more importantly, his own self?

It is a unique educational book addressing the female gender espe cially the girls. Despite the small size of the book, it is rich in religious advice, and each chapter directs a phase of the girl’s life with more attention to the adolescence. It provides real experiences of life for some girls for the others to learn and benefit from.

This book is a good reference for the reader, be it the girl itself, a mother or anyone who is seeking to know the instructions, guidelines and good manners that a Muslim woman should follow. And this based on the texts of the Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh). It also includes some poetry of the Arabs, real stories, and international statistics.

We often pretend to be happy and put on a brave face for the world despite carrying the pain of enduring a personal struggle or adversity.

When we are alone, that is when we fall into despair — for failing to overcome the struggles that we carry silently in our hearts.

Are we considered strong if we do not fall when life pushes us to the ground? Do our faith and belief tell us that we cannot let our misery affect us because as the saying goes, “we must bear patience”?
