Allah Most High Said, “And whatever the Messenger has given you, take it; and what he has forbidden you, refrain from it.” [Al-Hashr (59):7]

Together with the Qur’an, the Sunnah is the pivotal foundation and primary source of the Islamic faith. Shaykh as-Siba’ee gives a clear account of the revolutionary methods and scholarly principles that were established in order to authenticate historical reports and narrations. The author shows us that the fruits of that endeavour were the preservation of the authentic Sunnah and the birth of the Hadith sciences.
