History of Islam: Ali ibn Abi Taalib (H/B)
RM75.00
This is the fourth volume from this series, which deals with the life of the last of the Four Rightly-Guided Caliphs, Ali ibn Abi ?alib . He was the first male to accept Islam at the young age of approximately nine years. He was the Prophet’s cousin, the son of Abu Talib, the Prophets supportive and loving uncle who protected him during the worst trials of his early Prophethood. Alis devotion to the Prophet is best evidenced during the Hijrah (migration) when he acted as the Prophet’s decoy in Makkah while the Prophet left under the cover of night and migrated to Madinah, accompanied by Abu Bakr. Darussalam presents the entire History of Islam to our youth in language that appeals to them, in a simple yet lucid manner. The first four volumes in this series explore Islamic history during the period of the first Four Rightly-Guided Caliphs. Later volumes would be devoted to the History of Islam, down through the ages to modern times, inshaAllah. volumes would be devoted to the History of Islam, down through the ages to modern times, inshaAllah.

(E-book FREE)
Ridding children of their psychological disorders, altering their behavior, and changing their habits are complex matters – and they are so in view of the wide differences between children with regard to their responding to the same therapy; we educators are also diverse with regard to our culture and situations. From this we go on to say that educational guidance can work well with a certain child, but not with another. I am often consulted about children’s problems, and I do give my advice: but I am sometimes surprised to hear that the inquirer has actually tried the same method I was suggesting, not only once, but frequently: some say that their child’s condition actually deteriorated rather than improved after applying the recommended method. Therefore, it is crucial that we have more than one approach in store for dealing with any problem; for we may need to try all the methods to help the child get rid of his/her trouble, from which they suffer, and maybe the family suffers as well.

God’s Problem: How the Bible Fails to Answer Our Most Important Question–Why We Suffer
In times of questioning and despair, people often quote the Bible to provide answers. Surprisingly, though, the Bible does not have one answer but many “answers” that often contradict one another. Consider these competing explanations for suffering put forth by various biblical writers:
The prophets: suffering is a punishment for sin
The book of Job, which offers two different answers: suffering is a test, and you will be rewarded later for passing it; and suffering is beyond comprehension, since we are just human beings and God, after all, is God
Purification of the Soul – DCB
For a number of reasons, this is a very important time to be writing a book of this nature. First, the concept of purification of the soul as a whole is and always will be central to the message of Islam and to the welfare of humans, both in this life and the Hereafter. Indeed, it was a main mission of the messengers and prophets themselves.
The Nature of Fasting
This book will help the reader better understand the fine points about fasting. What is the nature of the things that break the fast? What are the rules by which one can know the difference between what breaks the fast and what does not?
These question are more answered by Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah in his discussion of the Nature of Fasting.
Publishers Note All praise is due to Allah, and may He grant peace and blessings upon His Last Messenger Muhammad.
This is a translation one of the smaller publications from the works of Shaykh Al-Islam Taqiuddin Ahmad bin ‘Abdul-Halim Ibn Taymiyyah. It has been published in this form a variety of times with a number of minor additions to the text under the title, “Hagigatus-Siyam,” or, “The Nature of Fasting.” We have revised our version to meet the source section of Majmu’ AI-Fatawa (25:219) from where it appears that the original booklet – with the exception of the questions, of which most appear on earlier pages – has been taken. We have inserted brackets to signify the additions, which earlier publishers probably took from other sections of his writings. We have also added brief references to the text for the Hadiths. I would like to express gratitude to brother Ebrahim Aly Ma’rouf for the original translation of this booklet, and the Darussalam staff for their editing and layout work.
