101 Seerah Stories and Dua is a richly illustrated collection of 101 great stories told in simple language that children will easily understand and relate to. Each story comes with delightful illustrations and a beautiful prayer. The book includes well known tales from the life of the Prophet Muhammad — the Year of Elephant, the birth and childhood of the Prophet, the revelation of the Quran, the first Muslims, opposition of the Quraysh, the spread of Islam and migration to Madinah to name a few. The Sunnah is the most authentic explanation and elaboration of the Word of Allah. Many worthy collections of Hadith of the Prophet pbuh have been compiled and translated into English. Yet very few, however, have been compiled especially for children ad young people, and this collection is intended to fill this gap.

This collection presents twenty sound Ahadith that will appeal to all ages, but are especially suitable for young people, taking into consideration their needs and interests. In translation and brief commentary that follows each Hadith, an effort has been made to use plain language and explanation for the ordinary mind.

Moreover, useful exercises have also been added. In this way, this collection will be greatly beneficial for young Muslims. This small book has been the collaborative effort of many. It is our hope that this collection of Ahadith will serve as a useful introductions to the timeless wisdom of the last Prophet of Islam both at home and the classroom.

Uthman bin Affan (R) was one of the early men who accepted Islam in Makkah. From the first moment he became a Muslim, he put all his wealth under the service of Islam. He spent most of his resources to satisfy the needs of poor Muslims. Recognizing his generosity and devotion to Islam, the Prophet (S) told him that his place would be in Paradise on the Hereafter. He married Ruqayah (R),the Prophet’s daughter. After she died, he married her sister Um Kulthum ;for that, the people at that time called him Dhun Nurain, “The Man with the Two Lights.”

This book, with its simple yet profound hadith and stories, set in the circumstances of our daily existence, expresses the joy and challenges of life. Reading these hadith and stories, children will come to know how ordinary incidents and day to day activities can be seen and better understood in the light of the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.
