8 Steps to Happiness By as-Sa’di (Wasa’il al-Mufida lil-Hayat al-Sa’idah)
Everyone chases after happiness, yet few fully recognize what it is or whence it comes from. Happiness isn’t a destination but a journey needing certain inner qualities and a right state of mind to experience and reap. It’s neither sold as a commodity nor can be bought, except through carefully crafting one’s character and following a plan of action.
For indeed, those who don’t plan will fail to realize desired results. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Those among us (destined to be) from people of happiness [in the Hereafter] will (find it easy to) enact deeds of people of happiness…” [Sahih Al-Bukhari, #4948].
In other words, by choosing a path reflecting attitudes of happy people one will recognize its reality and the ease and pleasantry in having good deeds done that are in themselves, characteristics of happy people. It requires contemplation of an alternate world view to one that compounds first world problems, for example.
Shaykh Nasir Al-Sa’di mentions in this short summary, eight ways to achieving the goal of bringing about happiness while driving away its opposites – sadness, grief, and anxiety. Reaching it is contingent on three main causes he identifies to leading a goodly life.
These succinct pointers are easy to understand and you’ll be able to identify the impediments you need to rework and hence live your life with happiness. This will transform you into being the best Muslim you can in today’s complex world, and will also inspire you to train your inner self.
Whoever follows these eight steps will find self-awareness and a pathway to joy and success in this life and the next, Insha’Allah.

Governing Yourself and Your Family
The subject matter of this work has preoccupied and continues to preoccupy the minds of our Nation?s members; yet in spite of this preoccupation, many people lack a correct understanding regarding it. Because the issues that fall under the subject matter of this work are so important, I decided to write this work, through which I hope to make plain the way to live and act according to what Allah has revealed.
Contrary to what some may think, this work is relevant not just to leaders, but to every individual as well. Each and every human being is a leader and chief of sorts, for just as a ruler is responsible for the welfare of his state and citizens, each one of us is responsible for his flock ? the members of his family and, more importantly, his own self?

Golden Stories of Accepted Prayers
What are invocations? In a real sense these are requests which come from the bottom of our hearts to Allah Almighty. Allah is always ready and happy to receive prayers from anyone at any time.
If you’re facing any difficulties or trouble you should immediately turn to Allah for help. The best invocations are those narrated by the Prophet (S). If you don’t speak Arabic, you can pray in your mother tongue.
When we pray we should feel assured that Allah will accept our requests. We should do so with complete sincerity and devotion.
Prayers can be made at any time, but there is a greater possibility our prayers will be accepted if we do so at specific times.
15 Ways to Increase Your Earnings from the Quran and Sunnah (P/B)
One of the blessings that Allah has given His servants is that of a convenient means of financial exchange, i.e. money. Money has since grown to become one of the most’ prized possessions of mankind, and like so many elements of the dunya, serves to test the obedience of Allah’s servants by challenging their system of priorities… Therefore, due to the fact that the Muslims of today are preoccupied with the seeking of money to an extent almost unparalleled in Islamic history, I felt the need to compile a short treatise explaining the manner in which Allah and His Messenger described how Muslims could increase their money. The focus of this book is upon encouraging Muslims to procure money through halal means, and to abstain from haram gains. The Sources of the Qur’an
“Who is the author of the Qur’an?” On this subject scholars have flagrantly contradicted each other. This work attempts to make a critical review of the major ‘authorship’ theories by pressing into service logical arguments, historical evidence, textual analysis and scientific data. Probably, the only point of agreement about the Qur’an is that it was uttered for the first time by a man who was born in Makkah (Mecca), a city of Arabia, in the sixth century—a man by the name of Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him). As to the source of the Qur’an, scholars are divided into three main groups: those who believe that Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him) himself was the author; those who believe that he was not the author himself but learned it from another human author or authors; and those who believe that the Qur’an has no human author but is rather a word-for-word revelation from God. Hamza Njozi examines the three theories and comes to a firm and logical conclusion.
The Relief From Distress : An Explanation to the dua of Prophet Yunus (P/B)
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah sanctify his soul, was asked about the saying of the Prophet (pbuh),
The invocation of my brother Yunus, “none has the right to be worshipped save You; glory be to You, far removed are You from any imperfection; I have been amongst the wrong-doers,” none who is experiencing difficulty employs it except that Allah would relieve him of his difficulty.
What is the meaning of this du’a (prayer, supplication)?
Are their any unstated conditions that have to be met when one articulates it?
What is the connection between belief in the heart and the meaning of this supplication such that it leads to the removal of difficulty?
Why did he explicitly confess, ‘I have been amongst the wrong-doers’ when it is known that tawhid in itself leads to the removal of difficulty?
Is it sufficient to acknowledge ones’ sin alone, or must this be accompanied by repentance and the firm resolve not to repeat that sin in the future?
Why is it that difficulty and harm is removed only when a person relinquishes any hope, reliance and dependency upon the creation?
How can the heart relinquish the characteristic of putting hope in the creation and depending on them, and instead put its hope in Allah, Exalted is He, and turn to Him in its entirety?
What are the methods that would aid the heart in doing this?
The author replies to these questions in the form of this book.

“There is a piece of flesh in the body, if it becomes good, the whole body becomes good but if it gets spoilt, the whole body get spoilt, and that is the heart.” (Sahih Bukhari)
This book enlightens its readers to the importance of the heart, its purpose and its rights. The heart is the most important part of our body but also the most neglected. A Muslim cannot perceive the truth that is presented to them if their heart is filled with worldly temptations and desires.
Remembrance of God in relationship to the heart is like nourishment relative to the body. ~Sulaymaan al-khawaas~
