At a time when many people are attempting to relate current events and trends in the world to interpretations of the prophecies contained in the Book of Revelations, and the writings of Nostradamus, and the predictions of fashionable clairvoyants, the author does much the same – but by referring to some of the prophecies which are contained in the Qur’an and in the recorded sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, may ALLAH bless him and grant him peace. Dajjal is not simply a catalogue of such prophecies, nor is it concerned with analysing specific events in the light of these prophecies. In viewing life in general in the late twentieth century the book is not merely a ‘religious’ critique of an aimless society. Rather, it examines and compares the outward existential behaviour, along with its inward psychological reality, both of those who do not base their way of life on prophetic guidance, and of those who do.

He has collected several stories and narrations that demonstrate the Birr (being dutiful) and kindness to our righteous Salaf towards their parents’ needs and necessities, in obedience to Allah’s worship in sincerity. Written originally by Ibn Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah is one of the important resources of knowledge for those who seek to know the Seerah of their Prophet (P.B.U.H) as well as the Fiqh learned from it. This is a book that is unique in that it explains the Sunnah through the Seerah and the Seerah through the Sunnah. It is a profound classic work containing thousands of pages written by Imam ibn al-Qayyam while on the Hajj journey, Pilgrimage, from Damascus to Makkah. Despite its being written from memory, the several thousand incidents, Hadiths, Ayat (verses of the Quran), Fiqh benefits, as well as names of the companions associated with them, were remarkably close to the truth with marginal errors.
However, those who know the status, level of knowledge ad Ta’hqiq that Imam ibn al-Qayyim had will not be surprised to know this fact. Still, it is amazing how Ibn Al-Qayyim was able to write this vast volume while traveling to Hajj (Pilgrimage), especially since he was away from the resources of knowledge and was enduring the hardships of travel. It is a blessing from Allah (S.A.T) that it was possible for him to do so. Note: As with Many English Translations this work appears to be slightly abridged but it seems to cover most of the subjects Note : With the Lack of English works covering Hanbali Fiqh , This Books would be the nearest alternative. Although not a Specifically Fiqh Book, Ibn Qayyim’s views which are based on Hanbali Fiqh are quoted throughout.

It presents a practical understanding of the purpose of creation and humanity to improve the individual and collective well-being of Muslims and society. The intention is to re-introduce and re-emphasize the correct Islamic perspective of humanity. The first five chapters revisits the common understanding among Muslims as to why mankind is created. We show that the prevalent view that we are created to worship Allah (SWT) is incomplete. There is a higher and more noble purpose; Rahmatan lil-Alamin (mercy to the worlds). We next describe the what of Rahmatan lil-Alamin. The best role model of Rahmatan lil-Alamin is undoubtedly Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the last and final prophet and messenger, whom Allah (SWT) sent with a very clear purpose, “And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds.” [21:107]. We present many examples from the history of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and a collection of his (SAW) sayings and advice on being the best. The final chapters of the book deal with the how of Rahmatan lil-Alamin. We describe in detail how the Muslim can apply Rahmatan lil-Alamin daily in his or her life. We propose a practical model of Rahmatan lil-Alamin that we induced from the Quran. We also addressed how to apply Rahmatan lil-Alamin to a broader society by proposing a decision-making tool that can guide us as persons and as communities to make decisions that conform to the foundations and priorities of Rahmatan lil-Alamin. We present case studies from the history of the Companions using this decision-making model. This book seeks to establish a connection between Islam and civilization within a civilizational and ethical framework. We believe that a more proper and complete understanding of the Islamic view about humanity may present to us new perspectives of Islam and how Muslims should engage with fellow Muslims and people of other faiths. We have inserted brackets to signify the additions, which earlier publishers probably took from other sections of his writings. We have also added brief references to the text for the Hadiths.
