Imam al-Ghazali illustrates his ideas throughout with relevant quotations from the Quran and Hadith, as well as poetry and logical examples, and clear analogies which demonstrate the need to cleanse ourselves of bad manners so that we can develop good characteristics.
This is certainly a powerful reminder of the importance of constantly identifying ourselves with the next life.

Change or Lose
Motivational & Manners
Change is not an easy and insignificant issue. It needs a deep insight and vision as much as will and determination. It is important here to realize that we can’t achieve all what we want and desire. Furthermore, getting what need and desire may not always be in our interest. This, of course, requires two things from us:
Governing Yourself and Your Family
The subject matter of this work has preoccupied and continues to preoccupy the minds of our Nation?s members; yet in spite of this preoccupation, many people lack a correct understanding regarding it. Because the issues that fall under the subject matter of this work are so important, I decided to write this work, through which I hope to make plain the way to live and act according to what Allah has revealed.
Contrary to what some may think, this work is relevant not just to leaders, but to every individual as well. Each and every human being is a leader and chief of sorts, for just as a ruler is responsible for the welfare of his state and citizens, each one of us is responsible for his flock ? the members of his family and, more importantly, his own self?
Ghibah (Backbiting) : The Root Cause of All Evil : The Commands and Prohibitions of the Shariah
Islam is a religion of peace, love, and compassion. Lies, suspicion, backbiting, slander, vain talk — all these are anathema to Islam. Indeed, such negative activity sows the seeds of enmity among the people and ultimately brings about the downfall of society. Backbiting (ghibah) in particular, according to the Qur’an, is not just a common social evil, but rather an abhorrent act, a major sin — the equivalent of eating one’s brother’s flesh.
Numerous ahadith of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) also underscore the complete futility, extreme loathsomeness and grave consequences of the deliberate misrepresentation of others. Backbiting, by the unanimous rulings of religious scholars (ijma) is forbidden, so that anyone who indulges in it is guilty of serious wrongdoing. Yet people have no qualms about engaging in this practice, flouting all prohibitions and strict commands.
Drawing upon important source material on the subjects of backbiting, false accusation (bhutan), and related issues, this book highlights the need to keep our society free of his ignoble malaise. To this end, it elucidates the relevant commands and prohibitions of the Shari’ah, so as to create in the minds of its readers a deep awareness of the sinfulness and ill effects of calumny.

15 Ways to Increase Your Earnings from the Quran and Sunnah (P/B)
One of the blessings that Allah has given His servants is that of a convenient means of financial exchange, i.e. money. Money has since grown to become one of the most’ prized possessions of mankind, and like so many elements of the dunya, serves to test the obedience of Allah’s servants by challenging their system of priorities… Therefore, due to the fact that the Muslims of today are preoccupied with the seeking of money to an extent almost unparalleled in Islamic history, I felt the need to compile a short treatise explaining the manner in which Allah and His Messenger described how Muslims could increase their money. The focus of this book is upon encouraging Muslims to procure money through halal means, and to abstain from haram gains. The author, Dr. Muhammad ‘Abdur-Rahmân al-‘Areefy, writes: An enjoyable life entails learning and practicing multiple skills; the few who truly apply them savour the success that comes with it. His entire life was an ocean of pearls that I have scattered throughout the pages of this book.
Enjoy Your Life! is not the product of an effort of a month or a year. Rather, it has resulted from the research that I devoted myself to for twenty years. I inscribed it with my tears, pouring my soul and squeezing my memories into it. The Quran & Modern Science: Compatible or Incompatible? (P/B)
Ever since the dawn of human life on this planet, Man has always sought to understand Nature, his own place in the scheme of Creation and the purpose of Life itself. In this seek for Truth, spanning many centuries and diverse civilizations, the course of history has been determined to a large extent by organizing religion which has shaped human life. While some religions have been based on books as claimed by their adherents to be divinely inspired, others have relied only on human experience.
The main source of the Islamic faith, Al-Qur’an, is a book believed by Muslims, to be of fully Divine origin. It is also believed by Muslims that it contains Divine guidance for all humankind. As the message of Quran is believed to be for all times, it should be relevant to every age. Does the Qur’an pass this test? I intend to give an objective analysis of the Muslim belief in this booklet regarding the Divine origin of the Qur’an, in the light of established scientific discoveries.
In the history of world civilization there was a time when ‘miracles’, or what was perceived to be a miracle, took precedence over human reason and logic. But how do we define the term ‘miracle’? A miracle is anything that takes place out of the normal course of life and for which humankind has no explanation. Though, we must be careful before we accept something as a miracle. An article in `The Times of India’, Mumbai, in 1993 reported that ‘a saint’ by the name ‘Baba Pilot’ claimed to have stayed continuously submerged under water in a tank for three consecutive days and nights.
But he refused the reporters to examine the base of the tank of water where he claimed to have performed this ‘miraculous’ feat. He argued by asking as to how one could examine the womb of a mother that gives birth to a child. The `Baba’ was hiding something and it was considered to be a gimmick simply to gain publicity.
Certainly, no contemporary man with even the slightest inkling towards rational thinking would accept such a ‘miracle’. We would have to accept Mr. P.C. Sorcar, the world famous magician known for his ingenious magical tricks and illusions, as the best god-man if such false miracles are the tests of divinity.
A book, claiming Divine origin, is in effect, claiming to be a miracle. Such a claim should be easily verifiable in any age, as per the standards of that age. It is believed by the Muslims that the Quran is the last and final revelation of God, the miracle of miracles revealed as a mercy to humankind. Both Quran and science are related. Let us therefore scrutinize the veracity of this belief.

Ideal Muslim Society
From the translator, Nasiruddin al-Khattab: In a world plagued with wars, racism, political turmoil, economic downturns and social anguish, many people are looking for an alternative in which justice, freedom, decency and common sense will prevail. Such societies have existed in the past, in the golden eras of Islamic civilization, and we have the hope that, if Allah wills, such a society may appear again. In The Ideal Muslim Society, Dr. Muhammad ‘Ali al-Hashimi gives us a detailed picture of what this society would look like. Drawing on his extensive research of Islamic history and contrasting the ideal with the sorry state of affairs in human societies today, he explores the religious, political, economic, social and other facets of this ideal society, illustrating everything from the responsibilities of those in authority to the interactions between individuals on the humblest levels. For those who are longing to see a better world, this book offers practical ideas and hope.
The Higher Objectives of Humanity
A video summary of this book can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdNQxv_ODdc&t=26s This book discusses the why, what and how of Rahmatan lil-Alamin as the higher objective of humanity. It presents a practical understanding of the purpose of creation and humanity to improve the individual and collective well-being of Muslims and society. The intention is to re-introduce and re-emphasize the correct Islamic perspective of humanity. The first five chapters revisits the common understanding among Muslims as to why mankind is created. We show that the prevalent view that we are created to worship Allah (SWT) is incomplete. There is a higher and more noble purpose; Rahmatan lil-Alamin (mercy to the worlds). We next describe the what of Rahmatan lil-Alamin. The best role model of Rahmatan lil-Alamin is undoubtedly Prophet Muhammad (SAW), the last and final prophet and messenger, whom Allah (SWT) sent with a very clear purpose, “And We have not sent you but as a mercy to the worlds.” [21:107]. We present many examples from the history of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and a collection of his (SAW) sayings and advice on being the best. The final chapters of the book deal with the how of Rahmatan lil-Alamin. We describe in detail how the Muslim can apply Rahmatan lil-Alamin daily in his or her life. We propose a practical model of Rahmatan lil-Alamin that we induced from the Quran. We also addressed how to apply Rahmatan lil-Alamin to a broader society by proposing a decision-making tool that can guide us as persons and as communities to make decisions that conform to the foundations and priorities of Rahmatan lil-Alamin. We present case studies from the history of the Companions using this decision-making model. This book seeks to establish a connection between Islam and civilization within a civilizational and ethical framework. We believe that a more proper and complete understanding of the Islamic view about humanity may present to us new perspectives of Islam and how Muslims should engage with fellow Muslims and people of other faiths. In fact, the implication of this new reinterpretation framework goes even further in that: any human civilization built on this framework is the most prosperous for the whole and also for the individuals in it.
