This is the Indonesian translation of the book The Ideal Muslim: The True Islamic Personality of the Muslim as Defined in the Qur’an and Sunnah. In all areas of life, we can learn through the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). There are many lessons to learn by his example. They lead us to believe that the good personality traits of a Muslim are ones that naturally propel us to be closer to Allah. In this book we examine proofs from the Qur’an and the Sunnah that give us an idea about those characteristics that will guide us in our hearts and actions to be better people in the eyes of our Creator. The author gives a clear overview of the practical aspects of the Islamic lifestyle, as exemplified by the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and his Companions. Moving from the innermost aspect of the individual’s spiritual life to his dealings with all those around him, one can see how the Muslim is expected to interact with all others in his life. This book is valuable for individual self-development, but will also serve as a rich source of material and ideas for study circles and discussion groups. The author supports each point with extensively evidential quotations
from the Qur’an and Sunnah and gives us thereby an insight into the life of the first Muslim community in Madinah. At a time when alien influences are overwhelming Muslims throughout the world and the temptation to adopt un-Islamic ways is greater than ever, this book serves as a timely reminder to us to go back to our Islamic sources and to adhere to our distinct, divinely-ordained way of life.

“Dunia ini adalah perhiasan, dan sebaik-baik perhiasan adalah wanita shalihah”
Ta’limul Muta’allim (Pentingnya Adab Sebelum Ilmu)

Umar ibn al-Khattâb: His Life and Times (2 Vols.) -IIPH
The second caliph of Islam, ‘Umar ibn al-Khattâb faced more struggles than any other Muslim leader in the early onset of Islam. His life began in a time of ignorance and ended during the Golden Age of Islam. Under his leadership, the Muslim world was witnessing some of its most notable conquests in the history of Islam. The strength and resilience of Islam’s leaders were being tested, and ‘Umar ibn al-Khattâb’s true commitment to Allah shone to reveal an Islamic spirit unlike that found in any other Muslim leader. The standards by which he lived can teach us a lot about determination, hardship, and success. The two books which compose ‘Umar ibn al-Khattâb: His Life and Times are sold together as a set. They belong in Part II of the Islamic History Series, as the second set of The Rightly Guided Caliphs. The Table of Contents for Volume 1 of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattâb: His Life and Times may be viewed via the ‘View Table of Contents’ link located above. This book was translated into English by Nasiruddin al-Khattab. From the Translator: For those who would be leaders, this book offers the model of an ideal Muslim leader, one who felt responsible before Allah for the well being of all those under his rule, including his troops, women, infants, non-Muslim subjects and even animals. ‘Umar was a ‘hands on’ leader who kept himself informed and consulted scholars and experts before every major decision. For the rest of us, this book offers a window into an exciting and important period of Islamic history, and it also reminds of an important lesson, that our strength comes not from wealth or money or status, but from our submission to Allah and our commitment to the path of Islam.

Stories of the Prophets-Darussalam (H/B)
In this book, the stories of the prophets have been compiled from ‘Al-Bidayah wan-Nihayah’ (The Beginning and the End) which is a great work of the famous Muslim exegete and historian Ibn Kathir and has a prominent place in the Islamic literature. The stories of the prophets and all the events in their lives have been supported by the Qur’anic Verses and the Sunnah (traditions) of the Prophet (S). Wherever it was necessary, other sources have also been reported for the sake of historical accounts, but on such places a comparative study has been made to prove the authenticity of the sources. Ibn Kathir has reproduced the views and interpretations of all the great exegetes of the Qur’an of his time. The systemic narratives of the Stories of the Prophets have been written in chronological order which renders a historical style to the book.
Allah the Most Exalted says in the Qur’an:
- “We are relating unto you the most beautiful of stories in that what We have revealed to you from the Qur’an, though before it you were from among those who were not aware of them.” (12:3)
- “We have indeed sent aforetime Messengers before you, of them there are some whose stories We have related to you, and whose stories We have not related to you…” (40:78)
- “We relate to you the important news of their story in truth…” (18:13)
- “And all that We relate to you of these stories of the Messengers, We strengthen with them your heart. Through them there come to you the truth as well as admonition and reminder to all those who believe.” (11:120)
- “There is, indeed, in their stories lessons for people endowed with understanding. It is not any invented tale, but a confirmation of what went before it, and a detailed exposition of all things, and a guide and a mercy to the people who believe.” (12:111)
- “…so relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect.” (7:176
